Cavender Creek Vineyards
Cavender Creek is one of our favorite wineries - it's about a 30 minute drive from our venue. It's a relaxed atmosphere out on the porch. You might even see a llama! Try a pitcher of their seasonal sangria.
Kaya Vineyard & Winery
Kaya boasts one of the best views in North Georgia and has a great deck to sip wine on. It's a 35 minute drive from our venue and a lot of fun - they usually have live music on the weekends!
Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery
Three Sisters is a very chill winery about 35 minutes from our venue. Sip wine in a field and relax in a casual atmosphere.
Wolf Mountain Vineyards
Wolf Mountain is a fancier winery and can get tough to find parking on the weekends. If you can get a spot though (and don't mind a walk up a pretty steep hill) they serve wine on a gorgeous deck overlooking the mountains. It's 28 minutes from our venue.
The Square in "downtown" Dahlonega
Dahlonega is a cute and quaint mountain town - so if you haven't been before it's definitely worth a stroll around the square. There's history of a gold rush and some interesting sweets and chocolate shops to pass through. The Square is 15 minutes from our wedding venue.
Preacher's Rock
This is a hike about 45 minutes from our wedding venue. It's 2 miles round trip so short and sweet but gets you to a good overlook. It's by no means flat so if you're not into a little bit of elevation gain it's probably not for you. Great little hike if you're looking for one though!
Mount Yonah Trailhead
This hike is 48 minutes east of our venue. It's 4.1 miles roundtrip and prettiest in the fall (you're in luck!). It's considered steep by normal people standards so don't expect a stroll. Be sure to put in "Mt Yonah" to your GPS - if you put in Yonah Mountain it will take you to a private gate. It's a classic in North Georgia hiking if you're up for it!
52 West Brewing
52 West is brewery 12 minutes from our venue if you're not into wine. Though many of the wineries do serve beer too nowadays!
Amicalola Falls State Park
Amicalola Falls is a Georgia State Park 21 minutes from our venue and is actually the start of the northbound Appalachian Trail that ends in Maine. Stop by the visitor center when you pull in to figure out what walks you want to do - you can pick from a steeper one or just leisure walks around the waterfall.
