We're Getting Married!

It all started with a friendly jab about the Chicago White Sox. After back and forth quips about our respective and loyal fandoms, we bonded over more than just our love of baseball. It all started March 2020 when Brant moved from Michigan to Indiana and happened to move less than one mile away from his future wife. After swiping right on Bumble, I ignored all instincts and met up with Brant at his apartment during the pandemic. We enjoyed beers and conversation on his patio, so much so that we saw each other several times over the next few weeks. I knew within a month that Brant was the one; he was and continues to be sweet, hilarious, patient, and matches my quirkiness. Over the following four years, we have only grown our relationship. One priority we have set from the get-go was to have Thursday night date night. Whether that be enjoying nights out or just staying in to watch a movie, we have always made time for each other. Our love of sports has taken us from baseball games in Detroit to football games in Arlington, despite the fact that our teams never win. Along with our love of sports, we share a love for spending time with our families. Our love of family is what spurred us to move from Indiana to Texas, specifically to be a present aunt and uncle. On the first date, Brant warned me that his long-term goal was to move to Texas to be near his brother's family. This did not dismay me, as my sister was in Texas as well. We saw that goal through in July 2022 as we moved to Fort Worth, Texas together. On July 1, 2023 on vacation in Charleston, Brant proposed to me at sunset on Sullivan's Island. Being lost for words, I had to wait a full minute to say 'yes'. We are excited for this next chapter in our relationship and will continue to be forever teammates.
