We met in June 2016 through the dating app Bumble. At the time, I was new to Washington, having moved here “temporarily” about 5 months before we met. Funny story about the dating app, Jeff actually wasn't the one who "swiped right" on me; it was one of his friends. I reached out, and we set a date to meet at a local bar in downtown Seattle that was close to both of our offices. Turns out, Jeff and I worked in the SAME building – just 10 floors apart. At the first date, we bonded over beers and Dateline murder mysteries, something that still helps us fall asleep. By current dating standards, the first date went well because neither of us tried to sneak off to the bathroom and ghost the other. However, due to Jeff’s need to be “cool,” it wasn’t until a WEEK later that we spoke again after I sent a "well, hello stranger" text that led to date number two, and the rest is history. Since that time, we have written our own rules, in our own way. We had our first daughter Reagan in 2017, and we just welcomed Madison in June. With Reagan by our side, Jeff decided to pop the question on May 14, 2021 at 8:15 p.m. looking out over the beautiful horizon at Suncadia. Our story may not be "conventional," but it's ours, and we would not have it any other way. We are honored to have each of you with us as we take this next step.
