In nursing school, Megan met Emily Ruelas and during the same time, Christopher met John Ruelas while on recruiting duty. It took many months of constant harassment from John and the Parker USMC Recruiting office for Christopher and Megan to go on a date. Megan was focused on finishing the last half of nursing school with plans to move back to California and Christopher was focused on very long hours of recruiting and training to join the Special Forces. Neither saw love in the near future, but after meeting for lunch one sunny day in June 2023, it did not take long for Christopher and Megan to fall in love. In April 2024, Christopher popped the big question in Buena Vista, Colorado and Megan could not have said yes any faster!
