Lydia broke the ice with the best bumble opener "hello! how's your Monday going so far?" okay, maybe 'the best' is a bit of an exaggeration, but it was effective 😉

a covid friendly date on lydia's front porch. chipotle was provided by ben, but lydia made sure he used the coupon she had for free guacamole 🥑

after many hikes, laughs + even some tears, ben asked lydia to be his girlfriend... finally... 👫🏻

stuck together quarantining after potentially being exposed for covid, ben decided to let lydia know "I think I'm in love with you" ❤️

embracing the setting of where they first met, ben popped the question in the doorway of lydia's home. he was able to pull off a surprise engagement -- which was clearly evident by lydia's outfit of an oversized t-shirt, leggings and slippers. 💍
