If you want a quintessential New Orleans experience, take the historic St. Charles streetcar to reach The Columns Hotel in the Garden District, then enjoy the scenic ride back downtown.
Flight
Located about 15 miles west of downtown New Orleans. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) from the airport to the French Quarter typically takes around 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. Airport Shuttle: Official shuttle service provides shared rides to most downtown hotels; book online or at the airport kiosk. Taxi Service: Flat rate of about $36 for up to two passengers to the Central Business District or French Quarter.

We recommend Hotel Monteleone as a great option for your stay in New Orleans. This historic French Quarter hotel is known for its iconic Carousel Bar and is also just a short walk from our wedding venue. It's also close to many of our favorite restaurants, bars, and sights. While we do not have a room block at Hotel Monteleone, we encourage you to book early if you would like to stay there!

Travel Note
Rideshare & Taxis Uber and Lyft are widely available throughout the city. Taxis can be hailed on major streets or arranged through hotel concierge. Streetcar Iconic and budget-friendly, the streetcars run along several routes, including St. Charles Avenue (great for Garden District and The Columns Hotel) and Canal Street (for access to parts of downtown and Mid-City). A one-way ride costs $1.25 (exact change needed) or you can purchase a Jazzy Pass for unlimited rides. Walking The French Quarter is compact and very walkable, with plenty to see en route. Rental Cars Generally not necessary unless you plan day-trips outside the city; parking in the French Quarter can be limited or expensive. Hotel Shuttles Some hotels offer shuttle services to key attractions. Inquire with your hotel if this might be available.
