Rick was in California for a music festival and he swiped right on Brandyn. Brandyn, living in upland, saw Rick and also swiped right. That Sunday they went on their first date, 9:00 am at a coffee shop. After that Rick went back to Flagstaff for a month, before moving to Los Angeles. From there many more dates happened.

One night in Brussels, Rick and Brandyn were walking in the rain, looking at the sites and strolling through the city. As they were passing a church Brandyn said, “Babe, go stand over there and I’ll take your picture.” Waiting for Brandyn and getting impatient at why the photo was taking so long, Rick noticed Brandyn on his knee hold a silicone ring. “Is this what I think it is?” Rick said. Sure enough, Brandyn was asking Rick to marry him…. It was a yes!
