Manny and I met on a Reformed Christian dating site, Tulip Singles. Manny wrote me on April 19th and said he would like to get to know me after reading my profile. I read his profile and learned he lost his wife of 13 years to Covid, and he had three children. I also read that we had the same beliefs. I asked him many theological questions for the first two weeks to ensure we were on the same page. I also asked him many questions about his emotional state and marriage with Amanda. God's grace is evident in Manny's life. He trusts the Lord. He knows that He is Sovereign and He is good. He also knows his late wife, Amanda, is in heaven with our Lord and is free from pain and suffering. Amanda gave Manny her blessing to remarry. Praise the Lord! Manny and I have talked on the phone since day one. He actually liked that I had been married before. I was shocked because I always thought people would hold my divorce against me. We shared our testimonies during the first phone conversation and decided we should discuss deal breakers and learn more about each other. Manny suggested asking each other two questions daily, one heavy (deal breakers) and one light. I was eager every morning to read his messages. We started doing video calls and talking on the phone every day. Manny led Bible studies with me (and the kids sometimes), and we discussed sermons or teachings. I flew to Texas to meet him and the kids in May. Manny and his kids came to Florida in June. After that, we decided we wanted to get married. Manny moved to Florida at the end of June. We got engaged on July 9th and married on July 29th, 2022. We desire to glorify God through our marriage and to point each other and the kids to Christ. Please pray for us as we transition into a family. The kids are doing well, but Grace has many hard days missing her mother. The kids know I am not here to replace their mother but to be a helper to their father and to be their friend. I plan to work part-time and homeschool while Manny works full-time.
