Brandy was out with friends celebrating her birthday. Ghaleb was out after dropping his mom off at the airport. Brandy's friend, Andie, suggested they meet up with some of her friends. Ghaleb decided to meet up with his friends. It turned out to be the same group of friends! After a little bit of back and forth between those same friends, Brandy and Ghaleb met for their first date at the Art Insitute of Chicago. They ended up walking all over the city and spent 10 hours together that day. They have been inseparable ever since!

Brandy and Ghaleb took a long awaited trip to Peru so that Brandy could finally see Machu Picchu. Once they had flown to Cuzco and taken a 3 hour train trip to Aguas Calientes, and a half hour bus trip further up to the site, Ghaleb had the tour guide lead them to an isolated overlook. This is where Ghaleb got on his knee and asked her to marry him! Brandy said yes, of course! Imagine getting engaged at one of the seven wonders of the world...feeling like you are on top of the world in so many ways!
