One day in the spring of 2015, Brandy had gone to Walmart to wander around with a friend and Craig had decided to do the same with his group of friends. It didn’t take long for Brandy’s outgoing friend to start introducing herself to Craig’s group of friends. Before they knew it, their friend group had grown and they were hanging out almost every weekend. Brandy remembers the exact moment she started falling for Craig. She turned to her friend and said, “Ya know, Craig is pretty cute!” Her friend replied with, “That’s what I’ve been telling you for months, get his number!” A few weeks later on July 14th, 2015, Brandy and Craig went on their first date. They went to South Haven to see Inside Out at the movie theater and then stopped at the beach to walk the pier. The last stop on their date was Deerlick Creek Park, a small secluded park right on the beach. They found the only park bench and sat down to watch the sunset together, to find themselves talking for hours. Their conversation flowed like they had known each other for years, and it was in that moment they knew they had something special. On October 18th, 2020, Craig brought Brandy back to the same bench they sat on five years ago. That is where he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife, and of course she said yes! And the rest is history.
