This is our local watering hole. Tons of outdoor seating and good beer on tap. Don't sleep on the donuts from the Dumpling Girls food truck! We also recommend the nachos from the taco truck.
"A premier byway sometimes referred to as Washington’s Big Sur (perhaps Little Sur would be more fitting), the 24-mile curvy route hugs the sheer sandstone cliffs of the Chuckanut Mountains. The only place where the Cascade Mountains meet the sea, Chuckanut Drive overlooks Samish Bay and offers gorgeous views of the San Juan Islands and Chuckanut Bay."
This is our local park- 0.5 miles from our apartment. This park has huge trees, well-manicured walking paths/trails throughout and a 9-hole disc golf course. *Side note- disc golf is super popular in Bellingham. This is just ONE of the many courses the city has to offer.
This is a nice park on the water where locals fly really cool kites! It's on a walking/running path.
Enjoy a stroll on the main loop trail that goes around Lake Padden or lengthen your trip by exploring some of the short trails at the east end of the park. It's 2.6 miles around the whole lake on a gravel path.
