Question
We're coming from out of town, where should we stay?
Answer
We will be staying at The Edward Hotel. We'd love for our family & friends to stay there, too! However, it is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms - so book ASAP to reserve yours :) There are tons of other great hotels in downtown Buffalo that are within a 10–20-minute drive of Resurgence. We welcome you to reach out if you need any specific recommendations or guidance!

What should we wear?

Semi-formal / cocktail attire is perfect! ***please, ladies, don't wear white***

Is this a child-friendly event?
Answer
We're sorry, but no... It's a 21+ event. Logistically, this is easier with the open bar, but it also allows all the parents to be fully present and have a wonderful evening! Our one exception is, of course, our ring bearer!

What time should we arrive?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 4:30pm. We would love if you could arrive by 4:10pm (at the latest) so you have enough time to get upstairs and find your seats. Access to the event space opens at 4:00pm and the downstairs Resurgence bar is open for normal business. Feel free to come early and grab a beer before the event!

Where do we park?
Answer
Resurgence has a large gravel lot behind the building & a paved lot to the left of Chicago St. You can also try for on-street parking just out front! However - we strongly encourage carpooling or arranging transportation to and from the event. We want everyone to be safe and driving after an open bar is not usually the best choice :)

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We kindly ask you to put your phones away during the ceremony. We've hired an amazing photographer who will be working hard to capture this moment - trying to take your own pictures usually means getting in the way of her work. You'll have plenty of time to take pictures throughout the evening, just please not during the ceremony. We also want to see our guests when we look out into the crowd or when we look back on the photos. Seeing raised phones takes away from the moment.

Will you be feeding us?
Answer
Yes! We will have an assortment of hors d'oeuvres available during cocktail hour. We'll have a seated, plated dinner as well as a dessert buffet. We may also have some kind of late-night snack...!

What's the deal with drinks?
Answer
Open bar, of course! Beer, wine, & liquor. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, along with coffee & tea.

Where's the after party?
Answer
Our event ends at 10:00pm. Resurgence, however, will still be open to the public downstairs. If anyone would like to continue celebrating with us, we'd love to stay a little longer at the downstairs bar! We can't promise anything after that as it's going to be a long (wonderful) day...
