I like to tell people that Sydney and I have been friends since preschool, but this isn’t a full truth… Sydney and I have KNOWN each other since preschool. We graduated in the same class and cheered together all through high school and never tried to be friends. It was not until 4 years after we graduated high school that we became inseparable. Little did we know back then that eventually we wouldn’t go a day without seeing each other. Sydney was the friend only God knew that I needed. My whole life, I wanted a friend that I could confide secrets in, laugh at the same jokes with, and have a sister-like bond. Sydney overflowed that prayer in ways I did not know possible. Just when I thought we couldn’t get any closer, we decided to coach junior high cheerleading together. I have no doubt that if we can survive nine 13-year-old girls, we can survive anything life throws our way. Brandt, I did not know from preschool. To be truthful, I didn’t even know Brandt existed until about 3 years ago. (He probably still wishes that was the case sometimes.) Over the last couple of years through Sydney and I’s inseparable bond, I have gotten to know Brandt just as well. He loves Sydney fiercely. He is protective, nurturing, and has the patience of a God. While he and I planned the surprise engagement, I gained more confidence in his inviolable love for her and her family.

The first time I met Sydney was when I was born in 2007. Even though she’s my cousin, she has always been like my big sister throughout my life. I have wanted to do nothing but follow her to the ends of the earth. Even though I haven’t known Brandt for as long as Sydney, it feels like I have. He is not only genuine, but also hilarious. Watching them grow together is the perfect display of a deep, healthy love. I have the perfect models of what it true love is.

Sydney and I have been friends since our junior year of highschool. We just sort of clicked and our friendship has been full of love, support, and endless laughing since. It’s been so sweet to see Sydney and Brandt’s relationship blossom, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for them!

I met Brandt through David on Brandt’s 21st birthday where I gave him a styrofoam cup full of multiple liquors. I met Sydney at Vandy’s pool party while drinking an entire bottle of margaritas to myself lol.

Scrolling through my memories with Brandt, I noticed a recurring theme: our best pictures seem to always feature a mischievous grin followed by some adult beverages. No surprise that most of our photographs are a blur of laughter and good times, a testament to the countless celebrations we've shared. As we gear up for Brandt and Sydney's big day, I want to give them a heart felt congratulations.
