Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad
Visit the museum, have a meal on a train, or explore the railway on a rail bike. We take a trip on a dinner train together every fall.
Reiman Gardens
Walk around the beautiful gardens and hang out with butterflies. We love to sit with the butterflies and see the new exhibits every year.
Ledges State Park
Go hiking in the sandstone ledges, see captivating overlooks, or go creek stomping. This is where we had our first date and where we got engaged.
Iowa State University
Walk around campus. Some of our favorite spots include Lake Laverne, the giant Burr Oak outside of Catt Hall, the courtyard of Lagomarcino Hall, and the Campanile.
Dungeon's Gate
Find a new board game to play, or book to read. This is one of our favorite places to find birthday and Christmas gifts for each other.
Pizza Pit
Enjoy some good pizza and play a round of pool in the attached bar. Our recommendations are the Four Alarm Pizza and the Inferno Wings, but only if you're prepared for something spicy.
