Check out Tricia's FAVORITE bagel shop (ever). This hole-in-the-wall local spot is located in Glens Falls, right off highway exit 18. Her go-to is an everything bagel, toasted, with one half bacon horseradish cream cheese and the other half jalapeno cream cheese.
While it's most popular during the horse-racing season in July and August, Brandon's hometown is a great place to visit any time of year. Broadway and Caroline Street are full of shops, restaurants, and bars (be warned, bars are open until 4am!). Taste the water from the springs at your own risk (some are "mineral" water with a sulfur taste!). Explore the State Park, home of the SPAC concert venue and the trails that Brandon ran during his high school cross country days! Favorite spots include: Putnam Market for sandwiches and sweets, Max Londons (our second date spot!), Henry Street Taproom for drinks.
What's better than picking apples fresh off the tree in autumn in Upstate New York? Easy, it's eating the piping hot cider donuts that are made right in front of you. (Or maybe it's sampling hard cider at Slyboro, Hick's on-premise cider house.)

Kayaks are also available for rent at their boathouse, and the town of Bolton Landing is a nice location for a stroll.
Lake Placid Village is approximately 1.5 hours north of our wedding site, and was home to the 1980 Winter Olympics. On the way, there are countless hikes in the Keene Valley area (see more here: https://www.alltrails.com/us/new-york/keene-valley).
Certainly one of the most picturesque golf courses in the area. The course sits on top of a mountain overlooking the lake, islands, and surrounding mountains. A great location for a round of golf or just walk and take in the views!
If you're staying for the weekend and are looking for a fun activity, check out the tree-top obstacles at Adirondack Extreme, where Brandon overcame his fear of heights to conquer the most difficult course. You'll find courses equipped with zip lines, rope swings, nets & more!
