The Beginning of Forever

Brandon and Tia first met in the summer of 2013 in a production of The Sound of Music. Tia thought Brandon was the most amazing thing she'd ever seen. They didn't talk much, but Tia was smitten. In the winter of 2014, Tia and Brandon were in a production of The Addams Family together. They began talking and texting. It wasn't recognized as a romance quite yet, but they were friends now, and they knew they enjoyed each other's company. In the summer of 2016. Tia asked Brandon for help applying for a job teaching theatre camp, which Brandon had done before. Tia got offered the job and Brandon sent her a text in all caps--they had gotten paired as partners! They'd spend all summer teaching theatre together, just the two of them (and 30+ young actors). After they found out they'd be working together, Tia and Brandon began texting regularly. They exchanged lots of emojis and often talked of their common love of Harry Potter. The connection should have been evident at that point, but it wasn't until the first night of theatre camp, when Brandon went over to Tia's house to get some work done, that they realized something significant was going on. Long story short, no work got done that evening. Tia and Brandon sat on the living room floor and talked for hours about everything under the sun. They sang, they laughed, they discussed. From that night on, they were inseparable. Following that talkative evening, they went on dates they didn't realize were dates, and shared their first kiss under the stars. They endured two years of long-distance with constant phone calls keeping them connected. Three and a half wonderful years later, Brandon brought Tia to the place where it all began, GREAT Theatre, and got down on one knee. Tia began sobbing immediately and said "yes!" Brandon and Tia still consider themselves inseparable, and they still frequently discuss Harry Potter.
