Brandon and I met at work (Cracker Barrel for those who don't know LOL). I had just transferred back from a temporary move in South Carolina. My first Saturday working back, I noticed Brandon. I saw him as young, tall, and handsome. He struck up a conversation with me first where he asked me how I was doing and introduced himself. I asked him if he was new and he told me he had been working there for a few months but only worked the weekends because he was in school and had another job. During some down time, one of our co-workers randomly commented on Chris Brown, saying his music was played out while one of his songs was playing on the overhead radio in the server alley. That's when both Brandon and I looked at each other like she was crazy. I then brought up how he was one of my favorite R&B male artists and I was going to his upcoming concert in December. Brandon proceeded to ask me if I listened to his new album that had just came out (Heartbreak on a Full Moon). From that point I realized we already had a lot in common and it was the start of an eternal connection.

After finally exchanging numbers, late-night conversations, and gradually getting to know one another, Brandon and I had been talking about planning a first date. On a Friday afternoon, as I was getting ready to leave work, Brandon was coming in for his shift. A little time had passed by and one of our co-workers who wasn't scheduled came in and asked if anybody wanted to go home because she wanted to make some extra money. Without hesitation, Brandon offered the rest of his shift to her, and we both clocked out. He walked me to my car, and asked if I had any plans that night. I told him I did not and recommended we go to my favorite restaurant--Chili's. He was down of course, so we set up a time for him to come pick me up later that night and I arranged for a babysitter. We had some delicious margaritas and food along with a great conversation, sharing stories mainly about our childhood memories. It was the best first date ever imagined, and it ended with us planning the next one!

Where do I begin? For starters, it was my 25th birthday! I had came home from getting some drinks and bringing in my special day with a couple of friends. To my surprise, Brandon had my favorite wine, candy, flowers, and a card waiting on the table for me. In writing, the card ended with "to my wife". I didn't know at the time that Brandon was hinting a whole proposal to me. We had a lot of exciting plans set aside for the day, but the best of them all was when we went on a helicopter ride and toured all of Metro Atlanta. After we landed, Brandon asked the pilot to take a picture of us in front of the helicopter. When I thought the pilot was done taking our pictures, Brandon unexpectedly got on one knee. I was in such disbelief, that I couldn't even grasp every detail of what he was saying besides "Tenyce Nicole Jones, will you marry me?" I with out a doubt said "YES". Now here we are planning our wedding after 3 years of dating. Brandon and I are more than thrilled to be celebrating our union with all of you!
