Children who are family are invited. Due to the policy of the venue, we would prefer that older children (6 or older) may attend and younger children be kept at home with a sitter if possible. The venue's policy is that all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This means one adult per each child. If three children come, they each must have their own adult to accompany them. This policy is enforced due to hazardous features like a balcony, stairs, a rock wall, and a lake on the property. These areas are restricted to children, and also children may not run anywhere in the venue. Thank you for reading and following the child policy of Heyward Manor.
Go to Hartwell. On on Anderson Hwy./Highway 29, go towards South Carolina towards the Hartwell Dam. Before you reach the dam, you will see a road on the right called McMullan Road. Turn right on McMullan Road. You will go until you come to an intersection. Go straight through the intersection. You will now be on Smith-McGee Hwy. You will go for several miles on Smith McGee Highway. Slow down when you reach state route 187. Your turn will be soon after that on Good Hope Church Road. Turn right onto Good Hope Church Road. You will pass through two stop signs. When you reach the second stop sign, turn right on to SC Hwy. 81. You will enter and pass through the city of Iva on this road. You will continue on Hwy. 81 for several miles until you reach a tree nursery. There will be a sign at the nursery for Charlie's Creek Nursery and Heyward Manor. Turn right onto the lake dam that will lead you to the venue! You are here! There will be attendants helping guide parking.

Yes, we encourage our guests to take pictures/vidoes at the reception. Please no pictures during the wedding ceremony so that you do not accidentally interfere with our photographers' and videographer's views. We will have a photo backdrop at the reception, and the views at Heyward Manor are stunning! If you do take pictures/videos, please use our wedding hashtag #TheHillsGetHitched
