Brandon and I met in 2011 while both working for Bonefish Grill. I was a server and college student at the University of Central Florida and he was the Regional Director of Back of House Training. We would cross paths sparingly, but didn’t really spend too much time together. Fast forward a few years and Brandon accepted a management position at my Bonefish Grill store. We spent many nights together as I would be closing bartender or the headwait. After a year of working together at the same store location, Brandon left Bonefish Grill to pursue a new opportunity. In May of 2015, Brandon and I’s paths would cross again when our mutual friend Sheree Perry organized an impromptu Friday happy hour. To my surprise, we had a great time together. As the night came to an end, Brandon offered to walk me to my car and then asked for my phone number. I remember thinking why not and gave it to him. Brandon chose all you can eat wing night (anyone who knows Brandon should not be surprised by this!) at the Porch in Winter Park. Despite the wings, we’ve been inseparable ever since! We've spent the majority of our relationship in Winter Park, FL and are so excited to be getting married near Winter Park, CO!
Brandon wanted the proposal to be a complete surprise so he didn’t tell anyone. He knows how important family is to me so despite traveling to so many beautiful places... he knew there was no better place than surrounded by family on Thanksgiving. Just as we do every Thanksgiving, we gather around and hold hands to say grace and a few words of thanks. My stepdad, Lenny, started rambling things he was thankful for and turned to me last and asked, “Well, are you ready?” I had no idea what he was talking about. I looked over and there Brandon was on one knee asking me to marry him! After a few tears and an ‘Are you sure?!?!?’, I said yes!
