We first met through our friend group in Hermosa Beach at Volleyball Tuesdays. We had known each other for a while, but had never talked a ton. Then one night, we both went to the Manhattan Beach holiday fireworks show, and Tatum sat next to Brandon. We started talking and found out we would both be in Steamboat Springs, CO, over the holidays to ski. Fast forward a few weeks to Steamboat, Brandon reached out and invited Tatum to go night skiing and join him and his friends for a NYE celebration. After that night, we planned our first date...and the rest is history.
Tatum was in San Francisco for a friend’s wedding, staying with the Bessey’s and Michaela, while Brandon was back in LA. Little did she know, Brandon flew up to SF on Saturday to find the perfect spot to pop the question. It all started months before when Brandon had the idea of surprising Tatum in SF, and over much time spent planning that idea came to fruition. On the day of the proposal, the plan was for Tatum and her friends to grab coffee, go to church, and fly home. Brandon had other plans though and had coordinated with the Bessey’s and Michaela for the group to run into Brandon at the spot he’d picked out. As the group walked up and were taking photos, Brandon popped out and called to Tatum, who was in complete shock to see Brandon there. Brandon then took Tatum down to the sand and asked her the very important question, and she said yes! After, they had a quick picnic celebration with their friends, and then flew back to LA in time to have dinner with their families.
