Question

How do I get from Athens Airport to the wedding area?

Answer

You’ll find full details in the Travel tab, but here’s a quick overview: From Athens (ATH): The drive to Costa Navarino takes about 3 hours. Our Shuttles: We’ll be offering complimentary shuttle pickups from Athens Airport for guests arriving in the days leading up to the celebration. Visit the Travel tab for schedules and details. Explore by Car: Renting a car in Athens is also a great option if you’d like the flexibility to explore more of Greece along the way. Closer Airport Option: The closest airport is Kalamata (KLX), just 45 minutes from the resort. Flights from Athens to KLX are limited, but many European cities offer direct seasonal flights.

Question

Where should I stay? Do you have a room block?

Answer

We’ve arranged special room blocks at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort for the most convenient access to wedding events and amenities. Full details and booking links are available in the Travel tab. Guests are also welcome to explore nearby hotels or Airbnbs if they prefer.

Question

Costa Navarino Hotel: Romanos / Westin Room Block FAQ

Answer

1. Can I add extra nights to my reservation at the group rate? Absolutely! If you’d like to come a little earlier or stay a little longer, just email the resort’s Events Department at events@costanavarino.com. They’ll happily extend your booking at our special rate. 2. Are there rooms with two beds, or is it only king beds? Yes! While the booking link shows king rooms, twin rooms are available too. Just leave a quick note in the comments/request section when you book, and the hotel will take care of it. 3. Are there age limits for the pools? Can Romanos guests use The Westin pools? The only pool with an age restriction is the Eleon Pool (16+). All other pools welcome guests of every age. Romanos guests get access to all the pools across the resort (including The Westin’s), while Westin guests have access to everything except The Romanos pool.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

As you can imagine, with such a big family we wish we could invite everyone, but we simply don't have the space to fit more guests. We kindly ask that only the names listed on your invitation attend the welcome party and wedding. If we are able to extend additional invitations, we will personally reach out closer to the date. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors at the same venue, so you can relax and enjoy the celebration all in one beautiful setting.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We're aiming for a "Elegant Summer Attire" feel - think dressed up but comfortable for a beautiful evening in Greece! While not black-tie, we encourage guests to dress nicely. Given that it may still be warm even at 7:00 PM, consider: For Women: Elegant floor-length dresses, flowy maxi dresses, stylish cocktail dresses, etc. Feel free to incorporate vibrant and colorful patterns to match the festive Greek atmosphere. Just a friendly reminder: please save white for the bride! Comfortable dressy sandals, wedges, or block heels might be more practical than stilettos for potential outdoor surfaces. For Men: Lightweight suits (linen, light wool, or seersucker) in lighter colors like tan, light blue, or grey are excellent choices. A dress shirt with dress trousers or chinos is also suitable; a tie is optional. Loafers or smart dress shoes will complete the look. Ultimately, we want you to feel fabulous and comfortable as we celebrate!

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

We’ll be celebrating at a beautiful lounge in Costa Navarino with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an incredible sunset backdrop. Cocktail dresses, long dresses, or chic matching sets are perfect for women. For men, polished looks like dress shirts with nice trousers or elevated resort wear fit the vibe. Feel free to dress it up for this event to kick off the weekend and capture some amazing sunset photos.

Question

Can someone help me book my travel?

Answer

Yes! We recommend working with May Araj at Oasis Travel. She already has all of our wedding details and can assist with flights, hotels, and trip extensions if you’d like to explore more of Greece (or Europe!) before or after the celebration. Just mention our names when you reach out so she knows you’re part of the wedding group. 📞 415-664-8400 📧 may@oasis-travel.com

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We’ve arranged shuttle service for all guests to and from the ceremony. Shuttles will depart from and return to Costa Navarino, and the ride takes about 15 minutes. If you are staying outside the resort, you are welcome to arrange drop-off at Costa Navarino to join the shuttle. After the celebration, taxis can be easily called from Costa Navarino to take you back to your accommodation.

Question

How should I get around from place to place?

Answer

Taxis are readily available in the area, and your hotel will be happy to assist you in arranging one. For Guests Staying at Costa Navarino (The Romanos or The Westin): The resort provides convenient buggy (golf cart) service to transport you around the expansive property. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle runs every hour between The Romanos/Westin and The W Costa Navarino, making it easy to explore all parts of the resort. For the Wedding: We will be providing dedicated shuttle transportation to take all guests to and from the wedding venue, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. Rental Cars: If you prefer the flexibility of exploring at your own pace, rental cars are available for pick-up in Athens (or Kalamata Airport, which is closer).

Question

Are credit cards widely accepted?

Question

What Greek islands should we explore before/after the wedding?

Answer

Here's a look at some popular Greek islands and what they offer for your pre or post-wedding celebrations: Zakynthos (Zante): Famous for its iconic Shipwreck Beach (Navagio Beach), stunning blue caves, and vibrant nightlife in certain areas. It has beautiful turquoise waters and lush greenery. Located in the Ionian Sea, relatively close to the western Peloponnese. You'll find ferries from nearby Peloponnese ports (like Kyllini), or flights from Athens. It's generally more accessible from Costa Navarino than the Cycladic islands. Crete: Greece's largest island, offering incredible diversity. You'll find stunning beaches (Elafonisi, Balos), vibrant cities (Chania, Heraklion, Rethymnon), delicious cuisine, and dramatic landscapes. It's a destination in itself. Best accessed by flight (Chania, Heraklion airports) from Athens, or directly from some European cities. Paros: A charming Cycladic island offering a more relaxed and authentic experience than Mykonos or Santorini, but still with beautiful beaches, picturesque villages (Naoussa, Parikia), and excellent food. Great for sailing and watersports. Accessed by ferry from Piraeus or Rafina (near Athens), or by short domestic flight from Athens. Less direct from Costa Navarino, usually involving a journey back to Athens first. Mykonos: Famous for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, vibrant nightlife, luxury boutiques, beautiful beaches, and iconic windmills. A hub for glamorous parties and celebrity spotting. Accessed by ferry from Piraeus or Rafina, or by domestic flight from Athens. Also a journey from Costa Navarino, usually back through Athens. Santorini: World-renowned for its breathtaking caldera views, white-washed villages clinging to cliffs (Oia, Fira), stunning sunsets, and unique volcanic beaches. Ideal for a romantic and luxurious escape. Accessed by ferry from Piraeus or Rafina, or by domestic flight from Athens. Like Paros, it's a journey from Costa Navarino, typically via Athens.
