Brandon and Robyn met freshman year at Carlsbad High School. Although, they didn't start becoming close until junior year. Ironically in Mr.Kistler's chemistry class. Senior year of high school they would attend school dances together, study together and hangout almost everyday after school. Everyone around them knew they liked each other except for Robyn and Brandon. Brandon could always be found heckling and cheering obnoxiously in right field at Robyn's high school softball games. Robyn's friends and mom would constantly question if they were together. Finally after 2 years, 4 school dances together and graduating high school, Brandon asked Robyn to be his girlfriend. The following 4 years, Brandon and Robyn continued to date despite the distance. Brandon was pursuing a degree from home and Robyn went to Bryant University in Rhode Island. Thousands of Skype calls and consistent communication kept Brandon and Robyn's relationship strong thorough the distance. The only times Brandon and Robyn spent time together in person was Christmas and summer breaks for 4 years. They would enjoy their time together with dates to the Del Mar fair, horse races, new restaurants, the beach, and quality time with each other's families. After graduating from Bryant, Robyn worked with her family and coached softball at her alma mater. Brandon would graduate from West Coast University with his BSN and passed the NCLEX in 2022. They enjoyed taking trips to Hawaii, cheering on the Padres, finding new trendy restaurants, and playing co-ed slow pitch softball together. Later in 2022, Robyn and Brandon found out they were pregnant. July 5th, 2023 Brayden Milo Ukegawa-Mayo was born. Brayden is a very well-loved, charismatic boy who soaks in all the love and attention being the first grandkid born on both sides of the families. Robyn, Brandon and Brayden all live happily in Carlsbad with their families. Brandon proposed to Robyn on July 22nd, 2024 at home. Robyn and Brandon are excited to finally and officially tie the knot. They look forward to celebrating their 11 year relationship in front of their most loved friends and family.
