Things To Do

Yoshi's Grill

9826 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC 28078
, (704) 947-5233

Our go-to sushi place! Their Poke Bowls are fantastic, and we also love their Yakisoba noodles. The service is quick and we often order for pickup. Bride's favorite: Tsunami Roll. Groom's favorite: Rainbow Roll.

Birkdale Village

8712 Lindholm Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078
, (704) 895-8744

We love going to Birkdale, it has great shopping, lots of restaurants and a fun green space with an amphitheater in the middle that's great for kids to run around. There is a walk-up brewery and rooftop seating, lots of benches, and is just a fun community atmosphere. Definitely recommend Kung Fu Noodle, Paper Bag Seafood Co. and Brixx Wood Fired Pizza for bites. Parking can be tricky but just look for the larger lots on the outskirts or keep an eye out for the parking deck signs. There is also a great greenway trail for walking, biking and more. Park by the back end of the movie theater for quick access.

Lowes Foods of Huntersville

14021 Boren Street, Huntersville, NC 28078

Lowe’s Foods in Huntersville is a go-to spot for craft beer lovers. Their Beer Den has a killer selection of local craft beers on tap and to-go. We visit regularly for coffee and breakfast, and the Sammy Sunrise sandwich never disappoints. I'm also a big fan of their bakery goods and muffins. We love this grocery store so much that we had our couple’s shower here, the food is just that good. Whether you're grabbing a drink or looking for a quick bite, Lowe's Foods has the local flavor and options you're looking for. They have regular events like trivia on Tuesdays, tap takeovers and live music every Friday and half off growlers on Saturdays.

Waterbean Coffee

9705 Sam Furr Road, Huntersville, NC 28078

Waterbean Coffee in Huntersville, NC is a must-visit for any coffee lover! Known for its cozy atmosphere, this spot offers a local menu featuring scrumptious food options. Don’t miss their standout drink: the white chocolate raspberry mocha, a personal favorite of the bride!

Silverlake Ramen

8694 Concord Mills Boulevard, Concord, NC 28027
, (980) 585-2008

One of our go-to spots for lunch with friends! The bride recommends the Chicken Karaage Bowl with a side of creamy broccolini, and the groom's pick is always the Garlic Truffle Ramen (but make it spicy!). Great food and a laid-back atmosphere make it a local favorite.

King Canary Brewing Co.

, 980-689-0849

A female-owned craft brewery in Davidson offering craft beer, craft cocktails, wine, cider, plus a menu featuring oysters, ceviche, flatbreads, and more in a welcoming, family-like atmosphere.

Royal Bliss Brewing Co.

7532 Royal Bliss Court, Denver, NC 28037

Worth the drive, they have gorgeous views from the upper porch and live music most days. We love the 73 & Hazy, New England IPA and the Cali King, West Coast IPA.

Armored Cow Brewing Co.

8821 JW Clay Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28262

Camp North End

300 Camp Road, Charlotte, NC 28206
, (980) 337-4600

Camp North End is the perfect blend of art and culture, and a must-do if you want to get a real taste for the Charlotte scene. With four different districts, there's plenty to explore. We recommend The Boileryard district for family-friendly hangouts, or Keswick for tons of food options. We love Bleu Barn and SARU Ramen especially. It was also a former Ford factory and military depot so there are lots of cool repurposed pieces that give off the industrial vibes.

Gibson Mill Market

305 McGill Avenue Northwest, Concord, NC 28027

A vibrant food hall in Concord, Gibson Mill Market is the perfect place to explore a variety of local eats and treats. With everything from craft beer to fresh baked goods, it’s a great spot to grab a bite, relax, and enjoy the community vibe.

Latta Nature Preserve

5562 Sample Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078

Address is for the Buzzard Rock Trailhead, which is our favorite view of Mountain Island Lake. But, Latta is also home to the Carolina Raptor Center and Latta Place Historic Site. There's a great park area at the Nature Preserve with a Kayak-only ramp. A great spot to get some fresh air!
