We met one fateful day down in San Diego California right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Brandon was down in San Diego for his Brother-in-law Nic's Bachelor party, and I was out with my friends for a bottomless mimosa brunch. Both of our groups ended up at a bar called El Prez, seated at tables next to each other. I saw Brandon and thought he was cute, he reminded me of John B. (from the show Outerbanks) at the time, because of the bandana around his neck he was using as his make shift face mask. He was wearing a red hat, and I turned to my friends and said "Red hat guy is cute". Brandon also thought I was attractive, when I went to the bathroom he proceeded to ask my friends, "What is the redheads name?", to which they proceeded to tell him my name and that my alcohol of choice was tequila. Upon my return from the bathroom, Brandon came over to me with two tequila shots, and me being in college at the time, told him we had to get down on one knee to take them together. After this we exchanged numbers, and continued to hang out for the remainder of the day. I was sure it would not go anywhere, as he lived an hour and half away at the time. However, the next day he texted me asking to see me again, and from then on we proceeded to take turns driving the hour and half drive to see each other, both knowing that this was more than just casual dating.
