Mother of the Bride
My mom, the strongest woman I know. she held it together for my siblings and I in a time women were judged and made to feel inferior. Her go-getter attitude and ability to never quit but find a different way has always resonated with me. I can honestly say, I am the woman I am today because of her.
Father of the Bride
My "Papi" I can honestly say that I most definitely carry the work ethic of my father. Putting myself before others as he has. We have the same sense of humor, that is both sarcastic and dark. Not everyone understands us at times, but we do.
Father of the Bride
He came into my life in my "PRIME TEEN YEARS" I made it difficult for him for a long time but he persevered through patience and understanding. He is my dad, though not by blood. He has always supported my decisions and been a confidant when I needed someone to talk to. He really is the keystone of our family.
Matron of Honor
My BFF! We met freshmen year in college and had spent countless nights together pulling all-nighters. We always looked forward to take-out Sundays as well as homemade chicken fettuccini alfredo. Though distance and our busy lives have kept us apart while attending professional/graduate school we always have been able to reconnect no matter what. Now, as mother's ourselves we value our friendship more than ever! there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for this girl (except kill someone- I have my limits, ha ha).
Bridesmaid
My baby sister, who is now a High School Grad and College Student. I changed her diapers and wiped her butt...YEP! I went there, sorry sis. I didn't get to spend alot of time with her when she was young because I was in school for years. I will never forget tita at 3-4 years old waking me up every morning during my college vacations shouting; "wake up, it's a sunny day" whilst she released Sophie (our dog) to jump and lick me so I would wake up. We are similar in some ways but I see so much of her in Julian it's crazy. It's no wonder he calls her "My Tita"
Bridesmaid
My little sister. I’m so proud of the woman she has become. It was not that long ago when I would brush her hair in the morning and prep her uniform before we walked to school in Puerto Rico. She has been and always will be the baby... sorry Tita, but this is true, ha ha! And now our roles will be switched (not going to lie but she is better at it than I am anyway). She has been working tirelessly in the laboratory during this pandemic, it is because of the work she has been doing many of us have been able to stay safe and healthy. That’s my sis. Love you!
Bridesmaid
We met randomly at Gymboree as new moms. We hit it off well joking about having the same name for our baby. Our sons, ended up going to the same school for a while. we had gotten close and continue to be close as our boys grow up together. she was my first friend when I moved to Albuquerque. I am happy and blessed for our friendship.

Mother of the Groom
My mom...aka GiGi....aka mama bear is an amazing person and I love her so damn much. She has taught me many great family values, and definitely taught me how to party. She's the best grandmother anyone could ask for. She flies out to New Mexico every chance she gets to spoil her first grandson Julian. She grew up in Pico Rivera, CA and is the youngest of five kids. She's a proud LA sports fans and was huge inspiration to me getting into sports so much. She can party with the best of them. She taught my brothers and I to be badass. As students, as professionals, or anything we try, she taught us to give 100% at all times. She pushes us to be great and honor our family every single day.
Father of the Groom
My dad is my hero. He's the MJ of being a dad. First ballot hall of famer in the dad hall of fame and is making a case for grandpa hall of fame already. He has given up everything for his wife and three kids. He ran his own businesses for 30 plus years, and gave us his all to provide us anything we needed and then some. His storytelling is legendary. He commanded respect from my brothers and I by showing us how to be a man. He taught us to be awesome at everything. Everything I do as a father I am stealing from my dad's playbook. All he had to do was yell at us with his powerful voice and he got our attention every time. He dreams big. It's taken him to great heights while teaching him a lot of lessons along the way. I strive to be like him as a father, and as a husband.
Groomsman
My brother has been there for me since day one. We grew up battling on the basketball court, competing hard in anything we did. After high school he jumped into stage production in the music business. Since then he's travelled all over the world. I'm very proud of him for the career he's built while becoming a family man at the same time. He's a dedicated husband and father. Just like our dad was for us growing up. He works his butt off. His work ethic is second to none and inspires me to keep pursuing my dreams.
Groomsman
My baby brother is one of the smartest, and talented people you'll ever meet. He recently earned a degree in anthropology from Cal State Fullerton. His school work is far from over as he plans to pursue a masters degree, and probably several more. He's my favorite person to play music with. He can jump from piano to bass to guitar to drums and probably a dozen other instruments I'm not even aware of. We're ten years apart in age, but for a long time I've felt so connected to him because he's old soul at heart. He's super funny and thoughtful. With us living in different states he hasn't got to visit his nephew Julian a lot over the years, but every single time he sees him he lights up his day. Julian looks up to uncle Curtis a lot already. Can't wait to see where life takes him next.
Groomsman
I've known Juan since we were 10 years old when he played on the same basketball team in La Mirada. Since then we've been best friends. Went to middle school and high school together. Juan made varsity in track and field and soccer. In college he really stepped up his game in a different field. He dove into the TV and film as a producer, director, and so many other jobs. He's been a film professor for a long time and is currently teaching at Portland State university where he's making a huge impact already bringing in new subjects and curriculum that the school has never taught before. Juan is the kind of person that will go to any length to help out when it matters most. I was honored to be the best man in his wedding, and I'm thrilled he will be by my side in May.
Best Man
My best friend since we were 12 years old. We met in middle school playing ping ping during lunch breaks. He graduated high school together where he was an incredible soccer player at La Mirada HS, and went on to lay college ball at Cerritos College, and Orange Coast College. He took a longer path through college, but persevered to earn a kinesiology degree from Cal State Fullerton, and is now earning a masters at Avila University in Kansas City, MO. I love this dude so much. We've stayed close even while living in different states for the last ten years. Derek is literally one of the funniest people on earth. He's super generous and humble. Treats everyone with respect. He's the kind of person I want my son to be like.
