When you are in your 30s, sometimes you get a little desperate, so you have to resort to dating apps. Brandon had been on these apps for a long time with zero luck (the long hair didn't help his case). Melissa was forced by friends to join the Bumble app (shoutout to Kate and Kurt). After a few times of deleting it and downloading it, she swiped right, and during this narrow window, Brandon also swiped right. As the rules of Bumble go, Melissa decided to initiate the conversation. Shortly after, the two of them decided to meet at Brandon's favorite bar, Aster Cafe. The history behind Tinder Tuesday: Prior to the date, Brandon recalled a conversation with the bartender at Aster Cafe about how great Aster was for first dates. The bartender told Brandon that the most popular day for first dates is Tuesday so he called them Tinder Tuesdays. Brandon realized this after the date was already set and so began Tinder Tuesdays. After that Tinder Tuesday at Aster Cafe, Brandon called Melissa from Vegas while he was with his soon-to-be best man, Matt, to set up the next date and the rest is history. **Aster Cafe is still one of their favorite places to go on dates as often as possible even if it's not on a Tuesday. They continue to celebrate Tinder Tuesdays when their schedules allow for it. They knew the perfect wedding spot would be right next door.
