It was SuperBowl weekend, 2014. Maddy came home from Gonzaga to spend time with her friend Natalie who was in town and to watch the Seahawks win their first SuperBowl. During this weekend, Maddy was intrigued by the new concept of a dating app, and decided to download one to see what type of guys were out there. She just so happened to “swipe right” when she saw Brandon, and apparently, he had as well. Brandon and Maddy spent the next few weeks texting and talking, and then finally decided to meet in person. Their first date happened to be on Valentine’s Day. While the first date was a bit rocky (Maddy thought Brandon was a little weird), they gave each other one more chance that weekend and the rest is history. The two fell in love, and have been together ever since. They became a part of each other’s families, moved around the state for one another, got a dog, and recently bought a house together. On February 14, 2020, Brandon proposed after six years of being together. While getting engaged at the beginning of a pandemic has had it challenges, Maddy and Brandon have remained in love and committed to one another. If the last two years have taught us anything, it is the importance of love and taking care of one another. Maddy and Brandon look forward to finally being married and celebrating this special time in their lives with all of their loved ones. Here’s to a future full of amazing memories, love and happiness.
