When I was in high school, my friend, Rachel (who was a social butterfly) told me that she would be picking me up from my mom's house to hangout and was bringing her coworker, Brandon (they worked at a fast food chicken restaurant “PDQ” together). I didn't think anything of it because Rachel was always hanging out with random people. When I got in Rachel's car and saw what Brandon looked like, I wondered why Rachel didn't happen to mention that he was SMOKIN! That day, we all walked around Market Street in The Woodlands and ate at Culvers. She dropped me back off at my mom's and before I went, I asked Brandon for his Snapchat (I know, that's SO 2016). Some time passes and I graduate high school. I was then attending classes at Lone Star College Montgomery. Brandon was attending Lone Star College University Park. One day, Brandon happened to swipe up on one of my Snapchat stories and we began messaging each other. Daily. I started driving from Montgomery after class to his parents' house in Tomball. DAILY. Mind you, that's 25 miles one way. It's safe to say I had a crush on him and didn't care how much gas money I was spending! Brandon asked me to be his girlfriend, and I of course said yes. We helped each other study for our college classes (Brandon ended up going to University of Houston... go Coogs) and I ended up attending Lone Star College’s Sonography program. We both graduate college in 2023. Once we landed jobs, we got an apartment together in Houston. We also got a puppy, Biscuit, who is now 4. We loved having a dog together so much that we got another dog, Gravy, who is now 2. Fast forward to 2025: We take a trip to Fredericksburg, TX - He knows I love the hill country and good wine. We go to Pedernales, our favorite winery with gorgeous hilltop views, and he gets down on one knee to pop the question! Amidst all the wedding planning, we buy our dream house in Montgomery, TX. Here we are today, getting our home settled and waiting anxiously for October 17th for us to say our I do's. We've been through so many milestones together in life and I am so blessed that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, Brandon.
