FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope! But, if you're dying for more specifics, here are some ideas: bowties, jumpsuits, suspenders, elegant sundresses, bare feet, comfortable cocktail attire, sandals, suiting vests, sequins, etc. Colors and patterns encouraged but not mandatory. If you need a dress code term to google, use "festive". We'll be on uneven grass so we don't recommend heels or aggressive wedges!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Guests staying at The Lodges on Vashon or Vashon Inn can opt to take a shuttle to and from the wedding. Shuttle times to the wedding venue will be around 3:30pm, and from the wedding will be around 10pm. Guests staying in airbnbs can contact B & Le directly for shuttle options.

Question

What's the parking sitch?

Answer

There will be some parking on-site (mostly for camping rigs), and additional nearby parking along the southern shoulder of SW Cemetery Rd. If you are staying at Lodges on Vashon or Vashon Inn, there will be shuttles to and from the wedding venue but you can drive to the wedding if you'd like and park in the areas mentioned above. If you are staying at an airbnb, you can either schedule a shuttle with B & Le directly or park in the areas mentioned above!

Question

Will there be food available for those with dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options for the Welcome Dinner, snacks throughout Saturday, and for dinner after the ceremony. However, if you need to worry about contamination, give us a holler!

Question

What are the camping details?

Answer

There are two venues available for camping: Wedding Venue - bathrooms & water provided, no showers. It'll be busy and on the louder side. You can pitch a tent or park your rig. Vashon Inn - bathrooms & water provided, including showers. You'll have tons of space and quiet. You can pitch a tent or park your rig. $50 per tent for the weekend ($25/night). For both sites, you do not need to make a reservation - just give us a heads-up about where you'd like to camp if you didn't already through the RSVP process. We may ask that you pitch in for a small nightly fee, but we'll keep in touch about that. If you're flying in and need help tracking down some camping gear, please let us know! Email bandle.solstice@gmail.com or check on the ride and camping gear sharing google doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lxd7pIpWY8Af9LESVPAEjZjgyTaKeckw2VNI_5i4NPE/edit?usp=sharing

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests can begin arriving at 3:30pm.

Question

If I'm family staying at The Lodges, what do I need to do?

Answer

All rooms are pre-booked, and we'll check back in soon about how we'd like to be reimbursed.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We encourage parents to come have a relaxing kidless weekend on the Island. However, if your kids know us well and are super jazzed about coming to the wedding, we’d love to have ‘em!

Question

Answer

Your significant humans will have received an invite or their names will be listed on your invite if they are invited. Otherwise, you get to find a date once you arrive : )
