FAQs

Question

What is the vibe of the weekend?

Answer

Relaxed, outdoorsy, and full of adventure! We’re keeping things simple and meaningful — think mountain views, laughter, and good company.

Question

What will we be doing during the trip?

Answer

Brandon and Kailey will arrive on Tuesday. The plan is to enjoy a few adventures (like the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, hiking, and exploring Manitou Springs) on Wednesday and Thursday, and celebrate the wedding Friday. Saturday and Sunday are open for relaxing, sightseeing, or heading home.

Question

Can we join the planned activities?

Answer

Absolutely! You’re welcome to join any of the outings we have planned — or explore on your own if you’d prefer a slower pace.

Question

Will there be a formal reception?

Answer

We’ll be having a celebratory dinner Thursday evening. It’ll be a cozy, private dinner rather than a large reception to celebrate with those that came to Colorado with us. However, we will be having a celebration back in Wisconsin on August 1st. This will be a time to celebrate with all family and friends.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Yes, we recommend it! Colorado Springs is spread out, and most of our activities (like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak) are easiest to reach by car. However, there are many other transportation options that you could use!

Question

What should we pack?

Answer

Late June in Colorado Springs brings warm days, cool evenings, and plenty of sunshine — perfect for exploring! We suggest packing a mix of comfort and layers: - Comfortable shoes for walking, hiking, and exploring the parks - A light jacket or sweater — mornings and evenings can still be cool - Sunglasses & sunscreen — the mountain sun is bright and strong - Something dressy but practical for the ceremony and dinner (think mountain chic — nice but comfortable) - Optional: A light rain jacket

Question

Will there be photos we can see afterward?

Answer

Yes! We’ll share a private online gallery with everyone after the wedding — so you can relive the memories and download your favorites.

Question

Speaking of Photos

Answer

We are thinking about providing a disposable camera for each group. We are asking that you take picture throughout the week and return them back to us - that way we can see our wedding week through everyone else's eyes. Don't worry, we will share them all with you too!
