The Future Padiernas

We met our senior year of college at our favorite bar, Queens Tavern. It was a night that started with a casual hello and somehow turned into an hour-long conversation about the Yankees. From that moment on, there was an undeniable spark. By May 2019, we officially started dating, and our love story began. What followed was a relationship built on patience, late-night talks, and counting down the days until the next weekend. For years, he drove every weekend to visit me at my parents’ house, until the unthinkable happened, COVID. Even when the pandemic kept us apart for eight long months, we never missed a night of Zoom calls and movie dates, proving that distance never stood a chance. Eventually he moved into his own apartment with his best friend, then I happily became the one doing the traveling, visiting him every weekend instead. After surviving four years of long distance, we finally moved in together in September 2024, meaning no more weekend goodbyes. A few months later (after many loving reminders from me), he proposed in December 2024, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter together. We’re so grateful for every mile, memory, and moment that led us here, and we can’t wait to celebrate our forever with all of you.
