What is the venue like?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are in different locations 4 miles apart. We will have private chartered sprinter vans to shuttle guests to and from the reception. Guests staying in Las Gaviotas will not need to drive to and from the reception. Please view photos of each of the locations in the photos section if you have any concerns with the setting.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We encourage our guests to stay in Las Gaviotas with the majority of the wedding party and other guests. The private community will also host our wedding ceremony on the beach! If you only plan to stay for a single night and prefer a hotel accommodation, Las Rocas is a few miles up the road. Puerto Nuevo also has a hotel, and is just south of Las Gaviotas.

What is the drive like?

Answer

The drive from the San Ysidro border to Las Gaviotas is very easy and only takes 45 minutes. Please view the travel section of our website for the best route on google maps. If driving, please make sure to purchase Mexican auto insurance for the duration of your stay! Check BajaBound.com for rates online or stop at a kiosk before crossing into Mexico. If for any reason you are uncomfortable driving south of the border, please contact us to assist in travel arrangements.
