Charleston International Airport
This is the closest airport to fly into. We recommend checking out JetBlue from DCA, or Southwest from BWI. Myrtle Beach Airport is the next closest airport, at about 2 hours from Charleston. Allegiant from Harrisburg, or Spirit from BWI offer very inexpensive flights to Myrtle Beach.

Please also check to see if your hotel provides free transportation to and from the airport. Folly Beach is about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and 30 minutes from the airport if you'd like to take an Uber.
