Brandon and I met May 24th, 2025 at the Roxy in Encinitas, San Diego. Brandon had just worked a 15 day stretch and had 1 day off before going back on for another 12 days. Michelle, baby Brooklyn and I were having drinks at Culture Brewery. Brandon was leaving the brewery and stopped to high five Brooklyn as she was standing in the doorway greeting guests. Michelle noticed this and saw him walk out of the brewery. We decided to go next door to the Roxy since they had live music. As we sat down and ordered drinks for us and popcorn for Brooklyn, Michelle noticed Brandon was sitting at the bar. We made a bet that if I lost the children's word search, I had to go up to him and buy him a beer. I lost the game and walked up to him and said, "Hi, I'm Cassie. I lost children's word search, can I buy you a beer?". Three months later we moved in together and now we're getting married! It was the best purchase I have ever made.
