When Caitlin first moved to San Diego in 2014, she did not know many people. She moved in on a whim to a glorious place called "Cardiff-by-the-Sea" and enjoyed many a run, hike, and game night with close college friend, Devin, who had recently started dating a wonderful guy named Alex. Devin invited Caitlin to a game night with friends at Alex's place, and although she didn't end up attending, Caitlin asked the fateful question in regards to Alex's living situation, "Any cute roommates ;)?" To which Devin replied, "Oooo his roommate Brandon is pretty cute actually. Super fit and into health! He's gonna be totally into these games too," and a follow-up text, "Alex is into the intro for you and Brandon." Brandon had moved to San Diego for college in 2011, and had been living with close friends, all from Santa Rosa, ever since. Soon enough, Caitlin and Brandon had a double date/set-up arranged for an intimate bar/lounge in the North Park area of San Diego called "Polite Provisions." At first sight, Caitlin agreed, this guy was SUPER fit, seemed about as "into health" as she was and they hit it off discussing soccer, running, and the beach. Neither of them knew the other shared the same desire for their conversation, and the night, to be never-ending! After a few months of soccer games, running "dates", and TOO many visits to Shelter, both Caitlin and Brandon knew, they had met "the one." They've experienced MANY adventures to mountains and the Amazon, huge life changes, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. After 6 years as best friends, Brandon made it official, and despite living and spending most waking minutes together, he was still able to surprise Caitlin with the proposal of a lifetime, on their favorite beach walk route, one knee in the water, surrounded by many of their closest friends. Caitlin and Brandon feel like the luckiest people to be marrying both their best friend and soulmate. They are SO excited to share this momentous occasion with you all.
