Proverbs 18:22

We met at my former college teammate, Reggie Evan's wedding/reception. She was a bridesmaid in the wedding and she was walking around the reception introducing herself to all the guests. We had an instant connection when she came to my table, and I would go out of my way to talk to her at the reception no matter where she was. I felt drawn to her instantly, but the only bad thing was that I had a girlfriend at the time. I never really mentioned that to her and just went with the flow. We danced and had a great time and at the end of the night, I got her number. Even though we had good energy with each other, I didn't think much about a future with her. If you ask her what she felt at that particular time...she wanted to marry me from the jump. I guess my game was just that tight!!!! The crazy thing is that I arrived a day before the wedding at midnight. I was flying stand-by on American Airlines. I had been at the airport at 6am and missed every flight that day. The only reason I made the final flight is because some stand-by passengers left because they didn't want to keep waiting. One of the passengers that was there with me all day was going to Denver to actually surprise his girlfriend and propose to her, but he ended up leaving to go home the second to last flight. It's crazy how things work, he was going to propose to his girlfriend. And I was going to a wedding to actually meet my wife!! God works in mysterious ways!

Brandon and I met at my best friend, Katie’s wedding. I was a bridesmaid and was going around to different tables, entertaining guests. When I made it around to Brandon, I knew who he was just never really spoke to him, but the conversation was very easy and we hit it off right away. After that initial introduction, I found myself spending a lot of the night with him. I don’t know if love at first site is a thing, but I felt this chemistry and I knew there was something different about our connection. I could absolutely tell right away that there would be a future us! What I remember most is Brandon’s terrible pick up line lol. He asked, “ so when are you getting married?” I followed that with I’m definitely single! Brandon then says, “No I mean when are WE getting married” with a smile. I guess that line worked because here we are 5 years later, getting married!
