Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are more than happy to accommodate your children! If your small children are not listed on the online RSVP and you prefer that they attend, please send Anna a note with their names and ages.

What do we do between the ceremony and the second line?

Answer

We ask family wait at the church for pictures following the ceremony and everyone else may do whatever they please! Take a nap, go to a bar, go on a haunted tour! We will meet you outside the Omni for the second line to start the party up again!

What is a Second Line?

Answer

The wedding second line celebrates the newlyweds as they embark on a new life together. The main line leading the parade for a wedding is made up of the married couple, the brass band and usually a grand marshal. The second line is the wedding party and any passersby who want to join the celebration!

What should I wear?

Answer

New Orleans is known for its Mardi Gras balls that include everything from extravagant ball gowns to sequin tux jackets! Although long gowns are absolutely not required, if you have been wanting to wear that feathered, sequined cocktail dress somewhere, this is the place to break it out. Fun, loud, bright colors are encouraged! Just don’t wear white... I mean... come on, it’s a wedding.
