Prior to embarking for college at Alabama A&M University Brandon "slid in the DM" on Facebook. Initially Amani did not respond keeping her stuck-up demeanor...lol (Brandon's Words). But the moment she saw that 6'-1" dashing gentleman on campus the friendship took off from there!! Over the years friendship eventually turned into everlasting love.

We visited New York as part of Brandon’s Mom and Amani’s Dad birthday celebration. We hit Broadway to go to The Temptations – Ain’t Too Proud play. After the performance Brandon and Mr. G (Amani’s Dad) broke out into their best rendition of The Temptations – My Girl. As the crowd, filled with our families, continued to sing, Brandon hit his old school two-step - a spin - and then dropped to his knee. Amani was astonished and instantly noticed family members that Brandon had arranged to come. She said YES!!!
