We’re getting married!

Micki took a leap and quit her phlebotomy job and started waitressing at Chilis. Her second day on the job, Nov. 24, 2021, a cook with greatest smile and a laugh that filled the room caught her eye. On this day, they stood side by side in silence for a moment before Micki, with her heart beating a million miles an hour and her hands clammy, turned and said “Hi! I’m Micki like Mickey Mouse!”. He turned with the widest smile--- and the rest is history. Through a mutual friend, they fell in love in what was called AJ’s Bar& Tavern. Though it was just their friend's basement, where they hung out after long shifts, it truly was there that the spark was ignited. Throughout dating the couple faced many troubles but each time came out together on top. Brandon and Micki’s favorite thing to do for a date night is taking walks. On Jan. 13, 2023 Brandon shoved a box in his pocket, grabbed Micki’s hand and drug her out on a mid morning walk to Lion’s Park. He took her up to the top of the treehouse, where she swore it was gonna happen. She set her phone up, they took photos, the moment was set and he grabbed her hand and led her down the stairs to the botanical gardens. Through the pathways, past the flowers they found a park bench and took a seat. Side by side, they sat in silence again until the opening of a ring box caught her eye. There was Brandon, with a ring in his hands and a smile in his eyes, getting ready to pop the question. The couple celebrated and soon got to planning the wedding. Until Valentine’s day-- when they found they were pregnant with the greatest gift, a son.
