Mae and Brandon first crossed paths in Boston during their junior year at Emerson College. Fate (and a seating chart) brought them together when they were assigned seats next to each other at a dinner party.

We were hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park with friends a few days before Thanksgiving 2024. The trail had been busy all day, but just as we paused to admire the snow-covered landscape, everyone else seemed to disappear. For a brief, magical moment, we had the trail entirely to ourselves. It was quiet, peaceful, and unexpectedly romantic—so much so that Brandon decided to propose on the spot, completely spur of the moment!
Going on 7 years this coming February!
