How We Met (Her Story)

We met at work in 2012. I only worked at this job on the weekends and he only worked weekends once a month so we saw each other sporadically. BUT....I always noticed him. AND clearly, he noticed me too. I was always friendly with him but he had a reputation as sort of a ladies' man. I was even warned not to date him lol. It took 3 whole years for him to slide in my DM's and my antennas immediately went up. But when he approached me it felt different, he was so serious and intentional with his words and actions with me. I decided to give him a chance and it was the best decision I ever made.

How We Met (His Story)

It was just a normal typical Monday morning & I was just doing what I routinely did on Monday mornings at work. I worked in floor care so I was cleaning a carpet in a room that was adjacent to the main entrance of the building we were in. I happened to look up for a moment & noticed a woman well dressed in business attire walking by. I wasn’t sure if she noticed me but what I knew was she looked & carried herself just how I dreamed a woman of mine would look…….And the rest is History.

How He Proposed

12/23/2020

Our engagement was a scene out of my dreams. The location, the scenery, the people, the ring. Everything. Diamond told me we were going out to a dinner with some of his family at a restaurant called Elsa's . While driving there he said they called him and told him our reservations were not for another 30 minutes. Since the Holiday Festival of Lights at Cathedral Square Park was directly across the street, he asked if I wanted to walk through and see the lights. I DIDN'T, I HAD HEELS ON!! lol! Even though I had been dying to see the Christmas lights. After a few minutes of convincing I agreed. He said we should find a nice Christmas tree to take a picture in front of. So we are strolling through the park and were standing in front of this huge lighted Christmas tree and as blind as I am at night, I saw what looked like my sister in the distance. It didn't surprise me because she told me she was taking her kids to see the lights that night. I said to Diamond, "Is that my sister, and he replied yes and it's happening. I'm like, "what is happening," and he dropped to his knee. At that moment I heard screams from everywhere and all of my family and friends came out of hiding surrounding us. It was the most amazing experience ever!
