We met in middle school, but we were never officially friends. It all started the summer of 2014, Darius saw my Facebook post about me transferring to Alabama A&M University. He sent me a message through Facebook Messenger, and said he wanted to show me around campus. So, my first day on campus I met the man I would spend the rest of my life with.

On the date of our 6th anniversary, Darius took me to Big Spring Park. Big Spring Park is a very sentimental place for me. I was feeding the ducks and fish, then I turned around to get more food and Darius was on one knee with a ring in his hand. He scared me to death, and I almost fell into the pond! I was so happy, and I begged him to put the ring on my finger.
