Kevin and Brandan first met in elementary school, through hockey and our shared interests in video games and being nerds together. He's been an excellent friend throughout the years and someone I can always rely on.

Matt is a character, whether it be his contagious laugh or endless repository of movie quotes, he is always there to help or have a good time. Even if helping out means coming to the rescue when one of your dogs is feeling sick. Matt is one of the few people who still uses his phone to talk to people.

Nicole's brother, and teammate from beer-league softball and hockey. It's been an "elite" experience getting to know him and become closer over the years. His quiet sense of humour and comedic timing is legendary. I'll raise a glass of chocolate milk to him any day.

Introduced through the veterinary world, and reintroduced through the Canadian Animal Blood Bank, Quinn has become a great friend. Special shout out to Tobey.

One of my longest running friendships, Steve is many things, but above all he's loyal and honest, and is not afraid to keep you humble. From the days where we played road hockey in the streets, to his child's first birthday, we have always tried to include each other in the important moments in our lives.

It is lovely to have Brandan's little sister Lauren have a special role in this. Having bonded over being cat-lovers, enjoying a good read, and binge-watching Gilmore Girls as a comfort show, Nicole is grateful to have Lauren travel from Georgia to take part.

Char was one of my closest cousins growing up. She's an adventure seeker and often times the life of the party. Though I might never agree to sky dive with her, I'll gladly go to a Jay's game with her. One of the things I most appreciate is that she's not afraid to be just as ridiculous or extraverted as I am myself.
