They grew up as neighbors, living just across the alley from one another. She still remembers the day he first moved in. From that moment on, she had a crush on the freckled boy next door. She was so shy that whenever he was outside playing basketball or hanging out in the alley, she would hide just to avoid being seen. As they grew older, they began texting occasionally, and he even took her on a date to the movies. He was older, already driving and in a higher grade, which felt so intimidating at the time that it scared her away. Life eventually carried them in different directions, each following their own path, but fate clearly had other plans. Years later, their paths crossed again… exactly when they were meant to. They spent those long, unforgettable days and nights of COVID together. From that point on, they were never apart. Who would have thought the boy across the alley would one day become the man she gets to marry? Everything truly does happen for a reason.
