If you have any other questions that are not listed here, please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom!
Question

When Should I RSVP By?

Answer

After receiving your formal invitation, please RSVP by July 12.

Question

Will there Be Dinner Provided At The Cocktail Reception?

Answer

No, dinner will not be served at the reception. We will be offering passed hors d’oeuvres. Charleston is known for its incredible food scene, so we encourage guests to enjoy dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants downtown between the ceremony and reception. Since it is Labor Day weekend, we highly recommend making a dinner reservation between 4:00- 4:30 PM to allow plenty of time to arrive at the reception. The ceremony at Hampton Park is about a 12 minute drive from most downtown restaurants, and the reception at Poogan's Courtyard is located in the heart of downtown Charleston. A few of our favorite restaurants: Poogan's Porch Rodney Scott's BBQ (Close to Hampton Park) Blind Tiger Pub (Our favorite) Sorelle We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone afterward at the reception!

Question

Can I Bring a Guest?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, we’d be thrilled to welcome them! If not, we kindly ask that only invited guests attend. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding and reception will be an adult-only celebration. We hope you can join us for a night of fun and dancing!

Question

Is There Parking At The Ceremony?

Answer

Yes, Hampton Park has a small parking lot, but spaces may be limited. Street parking is available around the park, and we recommend allowing a few extra minutes to find parking and walk to the ceremony location.

Question

Is There Parking At The Reception venue?

Answer

Parking in downtown Charleston can be limited, and there is no dedicated parking at Poogan's Courtyard. We recommend using Uber, Lyft, or a rideshare service if possible. There are also several public parking garages and street parking options nearby if you choose to drive.

Question

What are the best transportation options between the ceremony and dinner?

Answer

Guests are welcome to drive, but we recommend using Uber, Lyft, or a pedicab (bike taxi) to get into downtown Charleston. It’s a short ride from Hampton Park and can make the transition to dinner easy and stress-free. Pedicabs are also a fun way to experience Charleston! If you’d like to schedule a pedicab pickup, here are a couple of local options: Charleston Pedicab- 843-577-6473 Charleston Bike Taxi– 843-532-8663 We recommend arranging pickup shortly after the ceremony so you have plenty of time to enjoy dinner before the reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family dressed up with us! Our dress code is cocktail attire. The ceremony will be outdoors and reception will be indoors with an outdoor patio.
