This is a great boardwalk that provides some scenic views of the bay but also access to shops, restaurants, and the city park. There are public restrooms in the middle of the mile long walk. Very flat and accessible for just about everyone. This is a great free experience to see the wildlife and the water!
A small parking lot is provided for users of the maritime forest hiking trail. The trailhead is located by the informational sign west of the parking lot. Please close the gate behind you. It is there to keep wild horses from entering into Corolla. There is a 1/3 mile accessible boardwalk as well as a 1.5 mile (roundtrip) primitive hiking trail. Horses and other wildlife can be observed while hiking the boardwalk and trail. There is a 2 hour time limit for the parking lot. Anyone wishing to leave a vehicle temporarily so they can tour the 4 wheel drive area or walk to the beach must use the county beach access parking lots less than 1 mile south on Highway 12. Free public parking is located at the Heritage Park area and County parking lot near the lighthouse.

Our obstacles are arranged on 11 different circuits giving you the ability to create your own unique experience during your 2 hour climb. We also feature axe throwing! Reserve your lane for a thrilling activity today. Plus, we serve snacks and beverages from our outdoor bar to enjoy along our nature trail with garden style seating and games! Minimum height for climbers is 40" for the first level of osbtacles and 4' for the rest of the course. Maximum weight is 260lbs. Please bring photo ID (for those 18 and over), sneakers, and water.
