SHE SAID: Grrrrrrrrrrr it’s 2am and I’m still not sleeping!! Well I guess I’ll kill some time and see if there are any fun profiles on Plenty of Fish, no better way to kill time than read random profiles. Ohhhhhhh look at that beard!!! That beard is awesome!!! And the profile attached is super intriguing “Fire Away...... there are so many things that added up to me packing up my life and moving to AZ, if you want to know more just ask.” Ok I got this I’m actually going to be brave and message this guy even though he seems way out of my league. Here goes nothing.....”Fire Away you say, that’s a lot of pressure on a girl to Fire Away and start asking questions, but I’m up for that challenge if you are.” Two days later and no answer?!? Booooo Third day.. He answered!!!! He answered!!!! HE SAID: Welp, I’m bored, I had applied for jobs, worked out, made dinner, swam and sat in the hot tub; what’s next at 0330 when you are in bed and can’t sleep you ask? Playing on the phone is a great answer but, fishing is better, here I come Plenty of Fish. Haha. So there I was hitting “X” a lot, I come across this one, gorgeous eyes and a smile that is so contagious, it could change your day. I looked at the other pictures and then I saw it! “If you write me, HAVE YOUR SH*T TOGETHER.” So, sad and defeated, I went to bed. I woke up and went to “Fry’s “ it’s like Kroger’s grocery store, and filled out some paperwork for HR because I had just gotten hired there, at the meat department. Not a bad place to start a new chapter of life! Right? So I get home and check my phone, I have a message! Whoa! It’s that gorgeous girl, who said, “Have your sh*t together.” I checked the message but I didn’t respond for a couple of days, because I had just moved here to Arizona from Kentucky and well, my sh*t wasn’t together just yet...but then I felt like a jerk for not replying so I messaged her, and then she wrote back...!
The most perfect morning, weather and plans were in store, just a drive ahead. Jessica traveled 52 minutes northwest of her cute town-home in South Gilbert, to meet the love of her life for the first time..... this lifetime, Matthew. We met at his apartment, he had flowers and my favorite candy in hand! From that amazing first sighting we left to pick up our picnic breakfast from First Watch and headed off to the lake. We spent the morning enjoying the view, the company and the great weather. For those that do not believe in love at first sight we are here to prove you wrong. We have not been apart since and will not part "till Death do us"......
Under the glow from the twinkly lights on the Christmas tree, Matt got down on one knee and popped the question in front of my folks!! He told me that I was his best friend and that he could not go one more day with out making me his wife. I was so over come with joy that I was only able to nod my head, to this day he still claims that technically I didn't say YES!!!
