Relationship Established in 1996 Retired teacher, resident dog-mom, and mother of the most handsome groom of all time! She is the most caring soul Jake has ever met. She inspires Jake to be his best self each and every day and has acted as a mentor for him throughout his entire career. Jake is very lucky to have such a wonderful, encouraging mom!

Relationship Established in 1994 Heating and cooling specialist, the #1 ACDC fan, and the father of the most beautiful bride that ever existed! If there's a job that needs to be completed, there are few who are more dedicated than Shawn. In fact, he is taking charge in sprucing up the wedding venue for July. Now and always, Emily is truly grateful for all her dad has done for her throughout her life!

Relationship Established in 1996 Expert woodworker/refinisher, great history buff, and the father of the most handsome groom of all time! After retiring from the teaching profession, he has been volunteering for Habitat for Humanity ever since. He and Jake are currently building the wedding arbor together. Jake couldn't have asked for a better dad!

Relationship Established in 1998 Beauty manager, theatrical personality, and sister of the bride! Emily can always count on her when it comes to the intricacies of beautification. However, Sam will not be beauty manager on Emily and Jake's wedding day. She will instead be Emily's right-hand woman, keeping her grounded and inspiring her the way that she does on a daily basis. She's not just Emily's sister, she's her best friend!

Relationship Established in 1996 Casino concierge, ultimate trivia master, and brother of the groom! Ever since Jake was a kid, Josh has been a mentor to him. He knows exactly what kind of advice to give and he's always been there, ready to help, when Jake's been in a tough spot. Jake couldn't have asked for a better best man, as Josh is truly the best there is.

Relationship Established in 1997 Heating and cooling specialist, outdoor connoisseur, and brother of the bride! Though a man of few words, Jared is the best camping buddy Emily could ever ask for. When not mastering the online video game Runescape, he, his partner Tessa, Emily, and Jake enjoy playing a variety of board games together.

Relationship Established in 2000 Mechanical engineer, project manager extraordinaire, and sister of the groom! If there's ever a problem that needs to be solved, Leah is on it. That has been true in spades for our wedding, and Jake cannot thank her enough for all she has done to help her brother as he and Em continue to plan their wedding. Not everyone is lucky enough to be such great friends with their sister, but Jake is!

Relationship Established in 2012 Municipal planner, hiking specialist, and one of the bride's closest friends! Since they first met at the University of Waterloo, Emily has counted on Scott for the best board game recommendations she could ask for, which he has delivered on and then some. He is currently living his best life out in BC with his partner, Veronica!

Relationship Established in 2015 A master of neuroscience, future social worker, and best friend of the groom! After meeting during one of Jake's community theatre performances, they've been best friends ever since. Generally speaking, you can find her, her partner Sami, Emily, and Jake doing crafts together, having movie nights, and playing very dedicated board games until late at night.

Relationship Established in 2012 Environmental consultant, foraging extraordinaire, and one of the bride's closest friends! There is nothing that Emma can't create with what is given to her by nature. She is also the first person that Emily met at the University of Waterloo. These days, Emma can be found travelling the world with her husband Jason and their daughter Jean, experiencing life to the fullest!

Relationship Established in 1996 Mechanical engineer, traditional/disc golf prodigy, and the groom's oldest friend! Growing up, he and Jake would always find ways to get into trouble with their parents! These days, they both find regular opportunities to grab a pint together, play some golf, and have games nights with the rest of the cousins.
