We met in our 12th-grade English class. At first, there were only “hi’s” and “hellos” until we became comfortable enough to start having conversations. It started off as a friendship filled with jokes and compliments until we realized it could become something more. Over the next couple of months, we got to know each other better and decided this was something we both wanted. We spent New Year’s Eve together watching the countdown with family. The night was filled with laughter, joy, and love — something we’ll always look back on. That midnight on New Year's Day we made it official to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Although, we had our ups and downs, the Lord had blessed us to be husband and wife.
