Our Love StoryOur Love Story

Who said love couldn't be at first swipe!

Eric and I matched on Bumble in May 2023, and from the moment we connected, I knew something was different. In fact, I told my mom right after matching that I had “found my person.” Crazy, I know! It took almost two months for us to align our schedules for a first date, but during that time, we video chatted for three hours every night. Those late-night conversations made it clear we had something special. When we finally met for our first date at Hal’s in Buckhead, it felt like everything fell into place. I’ll never forget how quickly Eric jumped up to greet me—it was like the eight weeks of anticipation led to an incredible, unforgettable moment. That night, we talked about life’s challenges, our careers, values, and everything in between. It was easy, natural, and so refreshing. On the way home, Eric insisted on driving me instead of letting me Uber. He had this calm, peaceful energy that I’d never experienced on a first date—it just felt right. When he dropped me off at my apartment, he leaned in to kiss me mid-laugh after a joke he’d made. Was it smooth? Not exactly. But did it make my heart race? Absolutely. The following week, Eric introduced me to Aubrey and Grant. Although introducing kids so early might seem unconventional, it felt like the most natural thing in the world. I connected with them instantly, and from that point on, our relationship only deepened. Shortly after, Eric showed up to my apartment with a dozen red roses and asked me to be his girlfriend over dinner. Of course, I said yes! Within a month, we were inseparable. It wasn’t grand trips or extravagant dates that made us fall for each other—it was the small, everyday moments. Hiking, relaxing on the couch, and simply being together made me realize how much fun life with Eric truly is. By December 2023, we started looking at houses together and moved into our dream home. Over the months that followed, our life was filled with celebrations, work events, travel, and countless milestones. We grew together, found our rhythm, and built the foundation of our future. Then came May 2024—my dream trip to Paris! Ever since I was 14, I’d dreamed of visiting the City of Love. Eric, of course, had bigger plans in store. On May 8, 2024, he asked me to marry him. It was the most incredible moment of my life. I’ve always dreamed of being a wife, and to have that role with a man I respect, admire, and love so deeply is the greatest blessing. And just when we thought life couldn’t get more amazing, the unexpected happened. On January 9, 2025, we found out I was pregnant with Charlotte. Within two years, our lives had completely transformed. We decided to postpone our August 2025 wedding to welcome our miracle baby first. This wedding is so special to us because every detail was chosen with love and intention. We’ve kept it small and intimate, surrounding ourselves with the people who have truly shown up for us as a couple. I can’t wait to become Mrs. Braley Bourque Morin and marry my best friend.
